A middle-aged woman and an 11-year-old student fell into the hands of anti-narcotics agents after they were caught selling 100 grams of “shabu” in Quiapo, Manila, over the weekend.
The female drug pusher, along with her minor accomplice, sold P120,000-worth of shabu, or metamphetamine hydrochloride, to undercover agents which led to their arrest on F. Hidalgo street last Sunday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said.
In a statement on Wednesday, PDEA director general Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac identified the suspect as Dayamona Mira-ato, 48, a resident of San Fernando, Pampanga.
With Mira-ato was a student from Tandang Sora, Quezon City. His identity was withheld as he is a minor.
PDEA agents confiscated the knot-tied transparent plastic ice bag, two cellular phones and the buy-bust money used during the transaction.
Cacdac said Mira-ato will be facing charges for violating Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, before the court.
Meanwhile, her minor accomplice was turned over to the City Social Welfare Development Office-Manila for custody.
