Pagasa issues thunderstorm warning over Metro Manila
The state weather bureau warned Metro Manila residents to beware of possible thunderstorms later in the day on Monday, April 20, 2015.
In a bulletin issued at 10 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said a thunderstorm was “more likely to develop” over Metro Manila in the next 12 hours.
Earlier, Pagasa said the whole country would generally experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
The fairly good weather will be due to the easterlies, or warm winds from the east, which will affect the eastern section of the country, Pagasa said.
Expected temperatures in Metro Manila will range from 24 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees.

Despite the thunderstorm warning, the weather bureau had urged the public to take extreme “caution” against heat cramps and exhaustion that may result from high temperatures brought about by the dry season. Alyssa Marie A. Jacinto/CB
