Acting Makati City Mayor Romulo “Kid” Peña announced Wednesday that he would go back to being the vice mayor of the city, Radyo Inquirer 990AM reported.
Peña said he would resume his duties as vice mayor due to the writ of preliminary injunction of the Court of Appeals (CA) and upon the directives of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Peña briefly served as acting mayor of Makati following the six-month suspension ordered by the Ombudsman to Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay. The CA’s 6th division, however, granted him a temporary restraining order on March 16. IDL
