Tricycle driver stabbed to death in Quezon City

A tricycle driver was stabbed to death on Good Friday allegedly over a residential dispute in Quezon City, police said.

Prudencio Bergonio, 44, was killed at around 5:20 p.m. by a certain “Jack” near his house on C.P. Garcia Avenue in Barangay University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman campus, case investigator PO2 Virgilio Mendoza said.


A witness told police that Bergonio and the suspect were arguing over documents on the victim’s residence which resulted in a fist fight.

The suspect later pulled a knife and stabbed the victim in different parts of his body then escaped toward C.P. Garcia Avenue.
