3 soldiers hurt in BIFF attack at DSWD office in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY—Three soldiers were wounded when Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) members fired a rifle grenade at the office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Datu Salibo town in Maguindanao, the military said Friday.

Capt. Jo-Ann Petinglay, spokesperson of the 6th Infantry Division, said the incident took place around 9 a.m. on Thursday.

Petinglay said the three soldiers were stationed near the DSWD when the attack took place.
