Two high school students who were reported missing after going swimming in Lake Apo in Valencia City, Bukidnon, have been found dead, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Thursday night.
The Valencia City DRRMC recovered the bodies of Jane Sumili, 14, and Glezel Jane Salahay, 18, on Wednesday at about 5:30 a.m.
They were believed to have drowned.
The two were reported missing since March 29, and search and rescue operations were conducted, the NDRRMC said.
Valencia City provided burial and rice assistance to the affected families.
