Despite the influx of passengers at airports for the Holy Week holidays, 13 domestic flights were cancelled by two budget airline companies on Sunday due to an “aircraft situation.”
Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) and its allied company Tiger Air cancelled flights from Manila to Caticlan, Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro and back and from Cebu to Manila yesterday morning.
According to a CEB advisory, the flights were cancelled “due to a technical problem on the assigned aircraft.” The airline offered affected passengers the option of a free rebooking or a refund.
The advisory said passengers may rebook on the soonest available flights. Passengers also have the option, without penalty, to “rebook their flights within 30 days from original departure date or opt for a full refund or travel refund.”
