A Filipino-Chinese bar owner was found dead and hog-tied inside his sport utility vehicle in Ermita, Manila, early Saturday.

The police are looking at robbery as the motive in the killing of Angel Dy, 59, a resident of Sucat, Parañaque City, and owner of a bar in Intramuros.

The victim’s body was discovered by his waiters around 3 a.m. in the backseat of his maroon Mitsubishi Montero Sport, which was then parked on Padre Burgos Avenue near the Lawton underpass, and within walking distance from his business establishment.

The employees said they last saw Dy alive at the bar around 7 p.m. on Friday and they thought he had gone home. When his wife called at 2:30 a.m. to look for him, two waiters went out to check his vehicle and found their boss inside.
