MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau is monitoring a tropical cyclone that could possibly enter next week.
Chris Perez, weather forecaster for the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, said the cyclone is still too far to affect the country.
Tropical storm with international name Bavi is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility by Wednesday. As of 8a.m., it was located 4,490 kilometers east of Mindanao.
Parts of Luzon will experience rains on Thursday due to the northeast monsoon.
Cloudy skies with light rains are seen in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Calabarzon, Bicol, Aurora, Quezon and Samar.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
