MANILA, Philippines–After spending three decades behind the wheel, this jeepney driver from Bulacan can finally stretch his legs and take the back seat as he became the country’s newest millionaire after he claimed his P13.5-million lotto jackpot prize on Tuesday.
The 57-year-old father of one took home exactly P13,528,000 when he correctly picked the winning combination 10-12-15-16-21-26 in the March 5 draw of the Lotto 6/42.
According to Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) acting chair and general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, the lone winner plied the roads of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, for more than 30 years so he could support himself and his family.–Jovic Yee
