MANILA, Philippines—Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, head of the agency tasked to implement and serve the suspension order to Makati Mayor Junjun Binay, has yet to receive a copy of the order earlier issued by the Office of the Ombudsman.

Hindi ko pa nakikita o nababasa ang order. Whole day ako dito sa Crame on the PNP (Philippine National Police) procurement at patungo ngayon sa DND (Department of National Defense) for a meeting on internal security operations,” the secretary in a statement said on Wednesday.

Binay and 20 other officials have been preventively suspended for six months without pay pending the investigation in connection with the allegedly overpriced Makati Parking Building.

[Ganunpaman], sa lahat ng bagay gagawin namin ang aming trabaho tulad ng pagpapatupad ng orders mula sa legal authorities tulad ng regional trial court, Sandigan, Court of Appeals, Ombudsman, Comelec at iba pa,” he added.

On Wednesday morning, Roxas led the turnover of 55 brand new vans to several PNP units in a short ceremony in Camp Crame.
