Binay supporters start to gather at Makati City Hall

MANILA, Philippines – Supporters of Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay have gathered at the city hall after he was ordered suspended by the Ombudsman.
On Wednesday afternoon, supporters continue to stream into the Makati City Hall to show their support for the suspended mayor.

The Ombudsman has placed Binay and other city officials under preventive suspension as they face investigation for graft in connection with the allegedly overpriced Makati Parking Building II.

In a statement, the camp of Binay said the mayor would face his suspension order.
Mayor Binay is expected to hold a press briefing later in the afternoon at the Makati City Hall.
