Outreach activities for Pink Month

SM City Cebu has lined up various activities in celebration of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month or the Pink Month this October.

The Pink Month is an international health campaign organized by ICan Serve to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure.

Volunteer doctors and medical experts will hold a free breast cancer consultation in SM City Cebu’s Pink Room (mall clinic) every Tuesdays and Thursdays of October from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

SM City Cebu and ICan Serve Foundation will treat children with cancer under the care of Kythe Foundation, to a free movie showing at the Event Centre and free rides in SM Storyland on Oct. 14 at 2 p.m.

There will be a bowling tournament among members of the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association at SM Bowling Center on Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. Dubbed “Pink Bowling,” the registration fees of the tournament will be used to fund the projects of ICan Serve Foundation.

Experts in breast cancer will discuss information on breast cancer on Oct. 21 at SM Theater One at 9 a.m. Testimonies from breast cancer survivors will inspire other patients suffering from the disease.

A Pink Mass will be offered for breast cancer survivors on Oct. 23 at 9 a.m. at the Northwing Atrium. There will be a healing session after the Mass.

A silent auction on pink-inspired chairs by Cebu’s top furniture designers will be held from Oct. 23 to 29 at the Northwing Atrium.

The auction event is for the benefit of ICan Serve Foundation and children with cancer.
