Mostly bright Monday as amihan weakens
MANILA, Philippines – The country moved closer to summertime as the northeast monsoon, or amihan, continued to weaken leading to hotter but brighter days.
The weather bureau said Monday morning that a weak amihan was affecting extreme Northern Luzon, which will experience light to moderate winds from the east to northeast.
Also, coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, said the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration or Pagasa.
Clouds may be expected across the country with isolated rain, but the day is expected to be mostly bright with 93 percent illumination.
Temperatures rose to a crisp 33.7 degree Celsius on Sunday recorded at 1:50 p.m. CB
