LEGAZPI CITY — A magnitude 4.7 quake jolted the province of Albay on Sunday.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake was recorded 41 kilometers East of Legazpi City at 6:53 a.m.
In a text message, phivolcs chief Renato Solidum said the quake’s epicenter was at Legazpi City in Albay, at a depth of 6 kilometers.
The quake was felt at intensity 4 in Legazpi and Sorsogon City in Sorsogon province.
Eduardo Laguerta, resident volcanologist of the Philvolcs observatory in Ligñon Hill, Legazpi City, said no damage was so far reported.
