MANILA, Philippines—The Metro’s railway systems will offer free rides for women on Sunday, March 8, in celebration of International Women’s Month.
The Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) has announced that the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Lines 1 and 2 and the Metro Rail Transit (MRT 3) would offer free rides from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The LRT 1 runs from Roosevelt in Quezon City to Baclaran while the LRT 2 links Santolan to C.M. Recto in Manila.
The MRT 3, meanwhile, runs through the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (Edsa) from North Avenue in Quezon City to Taft Avenue in Pasay City.
