Did you know: National Women’s Day

March 8 is declared “National Women’s Day” by virtue of Republic Act No. 6949 which was signed in 1990. March is also “Women’s Role in History Month” (Proclamation No. 227 signed in 1988) and “National Women’s Heart Health Month” (Proclamation No. 1675 signed in 2008). “Women’s Week” is also celebrated every first week of March in accordance with Proclamation No. 224 which was signed in 1988.
