AFP names new spokesperson
MANILA, Philippines—Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) civil relations service chief Brig. Gen. Joselito Kakilala has been named the new military spokesperson.
He will replace Col. Restituto Padilla effective on Thursday.
Kakilala is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1984. He previously served as chief of the Office of the Strategic Studies of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and commander of the 903rd Brigade where he led a successful operation against communist rebels in Bicol region.
He assumed leadership of the civil relations service, the military’s psychological operations arm, on February.
Padilla, who was named spokesperson on December, would continue his role as deputy chief of staff for civil military operations.
