Building on Araneta Avenue on fire for almost 12 hours

MANILA, Philippines—Firemen have been unable to extinguish a fire engulfing a building on Araneta Avenue in Barangay (village) Tatalon, Quezon City, as of Saturday morning.

Alexis Santos, village official, said the seven-story Gateway 2000 building has been on fire since 11:40 p.m. Friday night and remains on Task Force Bravo as of posting time.

Santos said the fire started on the second floor of the commercial building and continues to spread to its upper floors. KS/NC
