Fire hits Pasig residential area

MANILA, Philippines – A massive fire hit a residential area in Pasig City on Saturday morning.

Pasig City Official Information Center, in a Twitter post, said the fire in Bolante 2, Pinagbuhatan, Pasig was raised to General Alarm as of 10:44 a.m.

It was then raised to Task Force Alpha after an hour, which meant more fire trucks from nearby cities will be required to assist.

The fire, which started at 9 a.m., was put out at 1:25 p.m

The fire destroyed around 500 houses and displaced hundreds of families.  KS, NC
