BAGUIO CITY – A truck fell into a ravine in Bauko town, Mt. Province, on Thursday, killing a passenger and seriously injuring its driver, police said.

The truck plunged 300 meters down a mountain roadside at Sitio Lukib in Monamun Sur village at 10 p.m., killing Tamate Lapas, said Senior Supt. Oliver Enmodias, Mt. Province police director.

The driver, Joefrey Sapasap, 35, survived but was in serious condition when rescuers found him.

Police have yet to determine the cause of the accident. Sapasap was driving to Bauko from Benguet capital town, La Trinidad. Kimberlie Quitasol, Inquirer Northern Luzon
