GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala – A pregnant 10-year-old and her two younger brothers have been removed from a home in Guatemala where they were severely abused, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Police visited the home after neighbors reported signs of abuse and found the girl was seven months pregnant, while her younger brothers, aged two and three, also showed signs of abuse, said Lucrecia Salazar of the attorney general’s office.

Officials are investigating whether the girl was sexually assaulted by her stepfather, she said.
