The Philippine Judicial Academy (PHILJA) received its mandate by virtue of Republic Act No. 8557 enacted on Feb. 26, 1998. The PHILJA, a separate but component unit of the Supreme Court, is a training school for justices, judges, court personnel, lawyers and aspirants to judicial posts.
