The Philippine Judicial Academy (PHILJA) received its mandate by virtue of Republic Act No. 8557 enacted on Feb. 26, 1998. The PHILJA, a separate but component unit of the Supreme Court, is a training school for justices, judges, court personnel, lawyers and aspirants to judicial posts. It is currently located in the Centennial Building on Padre Faura Street in Ermita, Manila. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
