MANILA, Philippines – An intensity 4.1 quake shook Baguio City and parts of Benguet province early Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
A radio report said the quake sent many students and Baguio City residents rushing out into the streets.
According to Phivolcs, the quake which was also measured at magnitude 4.1 occurred at 7:14 a.m. It was located 13 kilometers southeast of the city at a depth of 13 kilometers underground.
Phivolcs director Renato Solidum said over the radio that intensity 4 was felt in La Trinidad, Benguet, while it was intensity 3 in Itogon.
The agency said it expected no damage and no aftershocks from the temblor. CB
