Australian wanted for child sexual abuse nabbed in Bukidnon
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – A 51-year-old Australian national, who reportedly faces a string of cases in Europe for sexual acts involving children, was arrested in Malaybalay City in Bukidnon around 2 p.m. Friday.
Senior Supt. Alecander Tagum, chief of the police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Northern Mindanao, identified the suspect as Peter Scully.
Tagum said Scully was arrested by combined elements of the CIDG, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) here and from the NBI’s anti-trafficking division in Manila.
Tagum said based on their information, Scully had been victimizing young girls from this city and Bukidnon.
“He is a fugitive in Australia for fraud and has cases all over Europe for broadcasting sexual acts over the Internet involving children,” Tagum said.
