Police probers: Purisima, Catapang vowed to submit disclosures on Mamasapano
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine National Police investigation into the Mamasapano debacle is now “70 percent” complete, as the police Board of Inquiry (BOI) looks forward to Director General Alan Purisima’s submission of his disclosures on the mission.
“Basically alam na namin kung ano’ng nangyari, from mission planning to execution to termination. Alam na namin yun,” Police Director Benjamin Magalong, head of the BOI, said on Thursday at Camp Aguinaldo.
The police are probing the bungled anti-terror raid in Mamasapano, Maguindanao by members of the Special Action Force that killed 44 elite police officers.
The PNP probe deadline was set for February 26.
Magalong said probers will go to Mamasapano next week to do more interviews.
