MANILA, Philippines–The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) on Tuesday said that it would not be threatened by the usual “well-oiled and organized spoilers” of the peace process, as it expressed confidence that it would be vindicated by the truth in what happened in the Jan. 25 Mamasapano debacle.

In its website, the MILF also said that today’s peace spoilers were the same group of people who “dipped their bloody hands into the Sabah and Zamboanga fiascos.”

“They are attacking the BBL (Bangsamoro Basic Law), the MILF and President Benigno Aquino simultaneously. They appeared to be well-oiled and organized,” the MILF said.

The MILF said it never felt “threatened by this orchestrated spoiling,” as they are on the side of truth and they have never coddled terrorists like Zulkifli bin Hir alias “Marwan” and Basit Usman.

The MILF did not identify whom they suspected to be spoilers of the peace process, but it made clear that this group appeared to have exploited the devastating aftermath in taking down Marwan.

Recent reports have tagged President Aquino’s uncle, former Rep. Jose Cojuangco Jr., and former National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales as the ones behind the calls to oust the chief executive.
