MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) located east of Mindanao and earlier forecast to enter the Philippine area of responsibility has dissipated, the state weather bureau said on Monday.
The LPA dissipated early Monday, said Alvin Pura of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Nevertheless, Pura said, cloud formations would persist off Mindanao.
In Northern and Central Luzon, humid weather is expected due to the easterlies, or warm winds from the east.
The regions of Cagayan Valley, the Cordilleras, Ilocos, Central Luzon and the province of Quezon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to occasionally strong winds from the east will prevail over Luzon. Winds from the northeast will blow over the Visayas, making the coastal waters along these areas moderate to occasionally rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.
