PNP: Hunk cop Neil Perez’s win an honor for police force, PH

MANILA, Philippines – The victory of PO2 Mariano Flormata in bagging the Mister International 2014 title is an honor for the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the country, says PNP spokesman Chief Superintendent Generoso Cerbo Jr. on Sunday.

In a text message to INQUIRER.net, Cerbo said that the whole police force is happy for Perez’ “extraordinary” accomplishment.

“Of course we are happy for him…It’s an honor not only for the PNP but the whole country as well. From the OIC PNP PDDG (Leonardo) Espina down the line are all proud of his extraordinary accomplishment,” Cerbo said.

Perez bagged the title on Saturday in the pageant night held at Wapop Hall in Seoul, South Korea.

The hunk cop said that he is dedicating his win to the 44 members of the PNP-Special Action Force killed in a botched operation in Mamasapano, Maguindanao province.

“Seven of them were my batchmates, from the Mabalasik Class of 2008 [of the police academy],” he said in an interview. “I am offering this fight to them, as I condole with their families.” AJH
