Technical glitch temporarily halts LRT-2 runs

MANILA, Philippines— Operations of the Light Rail Transit-2 were temporarily halted on Friday night after a technical problem hit the train.

Passengers of the LRT-2 bound to Santolan station in Pasig City were asked to unload from the train at the Betty-Go Belmonte station around 8:35 p.m.

In recent months, the LRT Line 1 and 2 and the Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3) have drawn sharp criticisms from its riders due to several operational glitches and long queues at their respective stations.
