MANILA, Philippines — A 5.0 magnitude quake jolted Batangas and as far as Metro Manila early Wednesday, with aftershocks expected.
The quake was recorded 22 kilometers southwest of Nasugbu town at 12:09 a.m., the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The tectonic quake had a depth of 109 kilometers and was felt in the following areas:
Intensity 3 in Nasugbu and intensity 2 in Pasay City; Manila City; Muntinlupa City; Quezon City
No immediate damage was recorded from the quake.
