MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III celebrated his 55th birthday with a “simple birthday lunch” with his family on Sunday.

TV host-actress and presidential sister Kris Aquino posted their family photo on her Instagram account.

The presidential siblings were all present in the celebration and Kris captioned their photo “Unconditional Love.”

“Happy birthday to my favorite brother…okay so you’re my only brother, but if I had others you’d still be my favorite,” Kris greeted President Aquino in a separate Instagram post.

On his 55th birthday, President Aquino is hounded by the controversies surrounding the Mamasapano clash that ended with the death of 44 members of the Philippine National Police – Special Action Forces (PNP-SAF).
