American wanted for sexual assault in US nabbed in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested on Friday a  50-year-old American who is wanted for sexual assault in Kentucky, United States.

Kent Thomas Kuszajenski, known as Alex Arnold Stevens in Bacolod, will be deported to the US once the paper work is completed, said NBI special investigator Syrus Aluzan.

A team from NBI arrested Kuszajenski from his rented residence at Olympia Village, Barangay Alijis, Bacolod at 7 a.m. on Friday.

The operation stemmed from the order of deportation and arrest issued by the Philippine government against the American.

Kuszajenski was facing an arrest warrant issued by a court in Kentucky for sexual assault. The American, however, fled to the Philippines, prompting the US government to cancel his passport. The Philippine government later declared him an illegal alien and ordered his deportation.

Aluzan, however, didn’t know when Kuszajenski fled to the Philippine but the American has been residing in Bacolod for seven weeks and claimed to be working for a credit card company as an agent.
