Northeast monsoon to bring light rains in Luzon, Eastern Visayas

MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon will continue to prevail in Luzon and Eastern Visayas on Friday, the state weather bureau said.

The weather system, which brings the cold weather, will also bring light rains.

“The regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera,Ilocos, Bicol and Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light rains,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

In Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, there will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

The rest of Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and eastern Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.
