Baguio City folk shiver with coldest temperature yet
MANILA, Philippines — Baguio City residents and visitors shivered as the city posted its lowest temperature yet on Monday since the onset of the northeast monsoon.
Panahon TV said temperature dropped to 9.8 degrees Celsius at 6 a.m., beating the previous record of 10.4 degrees Celsius last January 24.
The northeast monsoon, responsible for the cold weather, started in October and will prevail until March.
The lowest temperature in Baguio City was recorded on Jan. 18, 1961 at 6.3 degrees Celsius.
