MANILA, Philippines – Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and eastern Visayas will be partly cloudy to cloudy on Sunday, February 1, 2015, the weather bureau said.

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the northeast monsoon or amihan will continue to affect Luzon and the Eastern Visayan Region.

“The regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Bicol and Eastern Visayas and the Province of Aurora will experience cloudy skies with light rains,” said Pagasa.

It added, “Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains. The rest of Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.”

Pagasa told travelers and fishermen in small boats to avoid venturing out along the northern to eastern seaboards of Luzon and the Visayas due to rough to very rough seas.

Meanwhile, larger sea vessels are warned against big waves that may rise from 3.4 to 4.5 meters.
