The Marikina City police arrested Monday night a burglary suspect long-wanted for a series of break-ins targeting affluent homes in the city.
Jimboy Bustillo, 22, was served an arrest warrant at a makeshift house on Molave Street, Barangay Parang, after a week of police surveillance.
According to Senior Insp. Glenn Aculana, chief of the Marikina police intelligence section, Bustillo was tagged in several burglaries in various subdivisions and he became the city’s most wanted man after the police successfully put the previous “Top 10” crime suspects behind bars, with the last arrested in December last year.
Bustillo actually resides on General Ordoñez Street also in Parang but he stays at a “safe house” on Molave Street for a few days after pulling off a burglary, Aculana said.

Man shot dead in Manila home
A store owner was shot dead inside his home in San Miguel, Manila, around noon Tuesday.
Police said 38-year-old Pepito Ibrahim was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in the head and body inside his house on Carlos Palanca Street.
SPO1 Christian Caparas of the Manila Police District said witnesses heard at least 15 gunshots in the area and saw three men rushing out of the victim’s house afterwards.
