MANILA, Philippines—The number of passengers stranded in various ports Wednesday morning due to Typhoon Pedring (international codename: Nesat) has gone down to 4,476, said a spokesman from the Philippine Coast Guard.
Citing the latest report of the PCG, Lieutenant Commander Algier Ricafrente said that a total of 4,476 persons, 28 vessels and 20 motorized bancas remain stranded in several ports in Luzon.
He said that the bulk of stranded persons were stuck in ports in Manila, with 3,672; Lucena, 280; and Batangas, 140.—Karen Boncocan
