MANILA, Philippines — A Quezon City policeman was shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists riding tandem on Sunday morning.
Police Officer 3 Frederick Gracilla, 38, was shot while riding his motorcycle along Esteban Abada Street, Loyola Heights village, Quezon City, according to a radio report by dzMM.
Gracilla was off duty and was reportedly accompanied by a relative when the incident took place. His companion was able to escape.
The cop sustained bullet wounds in the head and the shoulder and was declared dead on the spot by authorities.
The perpetrators are still at large and the police are still investigating the motive behind the killing.
