The best of Ilocos Sur’s culture, tradition and tourist attractions are in the limelight again in the monthlong celebration of Kannawidan Ylocos 2015, which starts on Jan. 29.

The seven-year-old festival, with Gov. Ryan Singson at the helm, is reaching new heights, according to a statement from the governor’s office.

The festival, said Singson, “offers everything our province mates and tourists want to enjoy in a festival.”

“We proclaim ‘Sure, Ilocos Sur’ because of the complete package of fun and entertainment (during the festival),” he added.

On Jan. 29, the festival will start with Mass, to be followed by a procession of religious icons around Vigan.
