MANILA, Philippines—The budget officer of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Police Security and Protection Group (PSPG) has been administratively relieved after the delay of the disbursement of the food allowance of police personnel who took part as security during the papal visit.

Police Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor, PNP spokesperson, said on Friday PNP officer in charge Deputy Director Gen. Leonardo Espina has approved the administrative relief of Supt. Evangeline Martos pending investigation.

Martos is the budget officer of the PSPG, a national support unit tasked to provide close-in security to dignitaries and members of the papal entourage.
