THE family of 25-year-old Cebuana nurse Rhea Mae Sumalpong in Tuyan, Naga City felt relieved after her body was formally identified after the February 22, 6.3 magnitude quake, that flattened the CTV building in Christchurch City, New Zealand.
Sumalpong was one of the Cebuano nurses that were trapped inside the building. Her body, however, was not identified immediately compared to the other victims.
The Associated Press report confirmed that Sumalpong and eight other missing victims of the earthquake were declared dead Monday, ending an agonizing wait for families of people whose remains have never been identified in the wreckage./Correspondent Jhunnex Napallacan
