MANILA, Philippines—Light to moderate rains are expected over the regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos due to a low pressure area (LPA), which was formerly Tropical Storm Amang (Mekkhala).

Amang weakened into LPA early Monday, after it dumped rains in Eastern Visayas and parts of Luzon including Metro Manila over the weekend.

The LPA was last observed 85 kilometers northeast of Casiguran in Aurora, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said around noon Monday.

Fisherfolk and other small sea craft are advised not to venture out into the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon and eastern seaboard of Southern Luzon.
