MANILA, Philippines – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has started cleaning up tons of debris along Manila Bay, a day after Typhoon “Pedring” whipped Luzon with its strong winds and heavy rains.

At least 16 people, including four children, were killed in the storm that also knocked out power, triggered flash floods and mudslides, swelled rivers and spawned storm surges.
