Netizens slam ‘shooting priests’ in Pope Francis Manila Cathedral mass

/ 10:51 AM January 17, 2015

MANILA, Philippines — They were lucky to have a close encounter with Pope Francis but did they observe proper decorum during his mass at the Manila Cathedral?

Netizens slammed priests who attended the mass officiated by the highest Pontiff and “took away the solemnity of the mass” when they started to bring out their phones and tablets trying to photograph the Pope inside the cathedral while the mass was ongoing.

The mass was broadcast live so netizens saw and expressed disgust on the sight of some priests busy taking photos and videos of the Pope instead of praying or listening to what he was saying.
