Pope Francis back at Nunciature, heads for Tacloban on Saturday

MANILA, Philippines — Pope Francis made it back to the nunciature on Taft Avenue after a busy schedule on Friday.

The Pope’s first official activity was a courtesy call with President Benigno Aquino III in Malacañang before holding a Eucharistic Mass at the Manila Cathedral.

The Pope’s second day in his five-day trip here in Asia’s most populous Catholic nation ended with a “Meeting with Families” at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The pontiff will fly to Tacloban on Saturday for the main purpose of his Manila trip. The Pope will head an outdoor Mass on Sunday at the Luneta Park that is expected to draw a record crowd.
