‘Mini Swiss Guards’ at Manila Cathedral make big difference
MANILA, Philippines—Who would’ve thought Swiss Guards can be adorable?
The “mini Swiss Guards” that greeted Pope Francis at the Manila Cathedral were composed of 21 students from San Jose del Monte Bulacan’s School of Our Lady of Lasallete aged 12 to 13.
The boys have been at the Manila Cathedral way ahead of everyone including the members of the media who arrived at the area as early as 5 a.m.
Hours before Pope Francis’ arrival, the children were seen occasionally playing, stretching their legs or even taking a nap.
But as the arrival of the Pope draws near, they stood in front of the Cathedral and practiced their part with passion even without adult supervision.
