Yellow outguns Blue in PDBC

THE Yellow Team backed by Royale Power Dream drubbed ABCD Byrhon Merchandise-Blue, 62-48, Saturday night for its 2nd straight win in the ongoing Power Dealer Ball Club (PDBC)-2011 Inter-Color basketball tournament at the Sacred Heart School court in Gen. Maxilum Avenue Cebu City.

From a close first quarter, Yellow tore the game apart in the second with a 21-12 run behind Jack Rosal and Jay Logronio then leaned on the superb performance of Arnold de Asis who scored 10 of his 15 points in the fourth canto to seal the 14-point demolition.

Rosal and Weljohn Alarde backed de Asis with 12 and 11 points, respectively while Logronio had 10 points.

Taks Moral paced Blue, which dropped to 0-2, with 15 points.

In the other game, Red backed by Uy Network tripped Green-Natasha/MSE Patriots, 49-42, for its 2nd win in three outings while the latter fell to 1-2.

Green led in the first two periods while Red pummeled the former in the 3rd quarter, 19-5 to overhaul their double-digit deficit for the close win.

Jomer Mejias and Jecky Patiluna led Red with 19 and 16 points respectively, while Skye Mercado paced Green with 13 markers.
