Did you know: Fireworks-related injuries

According to the Department of Health, a total of 860 fireworks-related injuries were reported from Dec. 21, 2014, to Jan. 5, 2015. Of the total, 840 were caused by fireworks, 13 due to stray bullets and 7 because of fireworks ingestion. The figure is 16 percent lower compared to the 1,018 fireworks-related injuries recorded last year.–Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
